[VN] Can you share your experience with DVCon in general please?
[AB] DVCon is a major event in Semiconductor Design & Verification area. It’s very nice that it has been started to be organized in Europe and in India also in recent years.
[VN] What are your thoughts on DVCon-India?
[AB] India is an important country in terms of engineering services in all fields but especially in semiconductor industry there are really talented engineers and thus successful companies in India. India is the right location for a DVCon event.
[VN] What would like to see/add to DVCon-India?
[AB] Networking opportunities definitely. We’re living in a world where everyone expects fast and high quality deliveries and products. Time-to-market(TTM) has always been the top most priority for everyone in our sector and it is becoming tougher and tougher each year. I strongly believe that building the right partnership is one of the keys for successful TTM.
[VN] Will you be attending DVCon India 2015?
[AB] Yes. There will be me and my partner Ismail Hakki Topcu from ELECTRA IC attending the event. We’re looking forward to it.
[VN] How do you find the Design-Verification community in India?
[AB] We, as ELECTRA IC, have partnership agreements with companies like CVC, SmartDV, TVS who are already very well known in India and also in the rest of the world for their D&V products/tools/services. We’re already taking benefit from those partnerships in our Design-Verification services/projects. We’re always open to new ways-of-working and partnerships.
[VN] What are your views on this year and next year growth about semiconductor industry? India in particular?
[AB] Will there be a growth or not I don’t know much about that. I’m not an economist neither a fortune teller (I wish I had been 🙂 ). I’m just an engineer who has been in this industry since 1995. I’ve seen ups and downs, many acquisitions, mergers, shut-downs, lay-offs. I can tell you that these will continue. What is important for companies according to me is “Can they create value for they employees, customers and countries?” Look at successful companies, you’ll see happy, motivated employees, customers and countries proud with their own companies. Ups and downs will always be there. The ones who will survive and be successful will be the ones who have “The Teams Creating Value”. And India will for sure be the star in our industry with the amount of engineers being educated. India is already creating the most important value for the semiconductor sector, which is the engineering power.
